This is a slightly smaller dwarf cultivar of Mexican Sunflowers aka Tithonia called "Goldfinger". Plants get to be around 4FT tall compared to 8FT tall with regular Mexican Sunflower. It produces loads of beautiful flowers in a vibrant red-orange color. The flowers are still full sized at about 3 to 4 inches wide and cover the plant's velvety stems, which have many branches. Tithonia blooms all summer long even in extreme heat. They attract tons of butterflies because they like their wide and flat flowers and bees love their pollen rich centers. Hummingbirds are also attracted to their bright orange colored flowers. These flowers are perfect if you want to add a burst of color to your garden effortlessly, as they require minimal care and are very low-maintenance.

Germination: 7-14

Seed Sowing Depth: ***Needs light to germinate*** Simply press the seeds down on the top of the soil and water in. Do not cover with soil, or just barely cover with some soil.

Sowing: Can direct sow after the last frost, or start in pots 4-6 weeks before the last frost. In warmer climates can also direct sow at end of summer for fall flowers.
